Development of
Electrolyte Solutions for Secondary Batteries
Using Ionic Liquids

The main components of a rechargeable secondary battery are categorized into four core materials: cathode materials, anode materials, separators, and electrolytes. Among these, the electrolyte acts as a medium for the rapid movement of metal ions from the cathode to the anode during charging and from the anode to the cathode during discharging. Therefore, the required properties are the conductivity of metal ions and electrochemical stability. Currently, commercially produced lithium-ion batteries are made with carbon in the anode, transition metal oxides in the cathode, and organic electrolytes. Since the performance of organic electrolytes significantly affects the energy density, lifespan, and safety, the development of additives for organic electrolytes is significant.

Development
of Ionic Liquids

Ionic liquids can be powerful organic bases or catalysts to control pH and prevent unwanted reactions. These compounds can be used in various reactions, helping to avoid issues associated with volatile compounds and the introduction of metal contaminants. PYURAN has extensive experience in phase transition catalysts (PTC). We offer a range of ionic liquids, particularly for producing polymers, including those used in making epoxy resins. Additionally, ionic liquids are widely used to produce polycarbonate, polyester, silicone, polyurethane, and rubber. We specialize in ionic liquids manufacturing integrated circuits, flat-panel displays, printed circuit boards, capacitors, sensors, and other electronic components.
